Description: Originally known as Stout Faculty Wives, the organization was started in 1947 by Ada Fryklund, wife of Stout President Verne C. Fryklund, for recreational and civic purposes. In 1976, the group was expanded to include all Stout Community Women. The organization was disbanded in 1985. The records include minutes of meetings, membership cards and lists, a constitution, a history of the organization, correspondence, directories, scholarship records, records of the Steering committee, and a typewritten notebook (ca. 1965) entitled "Characteristics of Menomonie and Dunn County" containing information about health care, recreational, and educational facilities as well as cultural advantages offered.
